Spring soccer is finally done for both Megan and Jayce. It's nice that it is over but the kids already miss the games. They had a good time.
Soccer ended with final games in the rain followed by barbecues and pizza parties in the rain as well. We were bundled in winter coats and blankets. The first game was at 8 am. and it was cold.
The weather didn't hurt Jayce's final game. He went out with a bang. He had 4 or was it 5 goals? I'll have to check the video. I'd have to say that Jayce had the most improved season. He went from crying at the beginning of the season because he was scared to making 4 or 5 goals the last game. He really caught on and had a blast. I will be surprised if he doesn't get moved over to the big field in the fall.
Jayce's coach, Coach Eric, loved Jayce and gave him the nick name "boot" because Jayce could kick the ball hard and often get it in the goal with one kick.
Megan had a fun season as well. She was a real team player and did good at passing the ball to her teammates. Her coach was great with her and always told her she was doing great. Her team went out with a bang as they won their final and only game. What a good way to end the season. Her end of season pizza party started with a game against the parents in the rain and then pizza under the bathroom building eaves to stay out of the rain. It was actually fun to play against the kids but very muddy and slippery. Jayce even got to play on Megan's team and did well.
