We were in Menan, Idaho for the 4th of July this year. We stayed for 10 fun filled days minus the stomach flu we all got (Colton got it on the way home in the van...not fun.) We spent time with most all of Blake's family. The time sure went by too fast. It was sure hard to say good-bye especially for Megan who shed a lot of tears. She said that from now on she is going to save all her money so she can buy a house in Idaho to live near her cousins and family there.
Anyway... our trip was filled with fun activities everyday. It doesn't get dark in Idaho until after 10pm so we were up late every night taking advantage of the sunlight starting on July 4th with fireworks starting at 10:15pm.
Prior to the fireworks, we met some family at the Menan parade and then headed back to Blake's parents' house for a family BBQ. What goes better with BBQ than 4-wheeling, motorcycle riding, basketball, baseball and...mosquitos? It was a fun filled day!
Colton sure loved that watermelon! He was a mess.
Blake's 91 year old grandma was even able to come for the 4th. We call her Grandma Clemons. The kids call Blake's mom Granny Clark.
The kids' cousins Mikayla and Jessica took the kids on 4-wheeler rides. Even with insect repellent on, the kids came back just eaten up from the mosquitoes. We quickly learned not to leave the house without insect repellent.
Megan spent time riding with her dad.
Jayce's big cousins and Uncle John let him play basketball with them. I have to say he did pretty well and even made several shots with the big basketball.
The day wouldn't have been complete without baseball. Jayce loves it. Megan does too but gets stage fright when there are more that just her immediate family watching or playing with her.
Megan sure loves her Uncle John. She can stand being teased by him pretty well. Better than Jayce. Or maybe John doesn't tease her as much.
Poor Grandpa Clark "Gramps" had to put up with Colton. They wrestled a lot.
